Liquid Bag Filter

liquid bag filter

    bag filter
  • A type of filter that collects lint from the drying cycle. or A filter that was used in powder filtration systems. The bag filter was coated either inside or outside with filter powder which trapped the soils. The bag was held in place by a frame and when full or clogged the frame was removed.

  • a pressure filter where fabric bags are installed inside a cylindrical housing (pressure vessel) and the filtered liquid is pumped through the bag walls. Liquid flow is from the inside to the outside of the bag - dirt is trapped inside the bag.

  • textile or sintered polymer filters used to remove dust and fume particles from gas streams. Used also on liquid waste to provide a final polish or remove floc particles

    liquid
  • existing as or having characteristics of a liquid; especially tending to flow; "water and milk and blood are liquid substances"

  • a substance that is liquid at room temperature and pressure

  • the state in which a substance exhibits a characteristic readiness to flow with little or no tendency to disperse and relatively high incompressibility

  • Having a consistency like that of water or oil, i.e., flowing freely but of constant volume

  • Denoting a substance normally a gas that has been liquefied by cold or pressure

  • Having the clear shimmer of water

AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker with zippered nylon tote bag and an Extra 350 Micro Filters (700 Total)

The AeroPress is an entirely new way to make coffee, American style or Espresso style for use in lattes, cappucinos and other espresso based drinks. AeroPress brews simply delicious coffee, 1-4 cups per pressing. Ideal water temperature and faster brewing yields rich flavor with lower acidity and without bitterness. Other brewing processes use near boiling water and long exposure to coffee grounds. Quickly brew a variety of coffee drinks including an Americano or an espresso-style shot for use in lattes or cappuccinos. Its total-immersion system permits extraction at a moderate temperature and a short brew time. Water and grounds are mixed together for 10 seconds, then gentle air pressure pushes the mix through a micro-filter in just 20 seconds, which avoids the bitterness of long processes such as drip brewing. The air pressure also gently squeezes the last goodness from the grounds, further enriching the flavor. The total brewing time of only 30 seconds results in an exceptionally smooth brew.

I'm not 100% sure if I'll use the mountain feed bag on my handlebars. I generally like it but my knees rub it when I'm standing and climbing.

Also not positive if 3 bottles will be enough liquid.

Paper Negative II

Paper Negative II

Inverted paper negative photo of the security building for the former Clark Equipment Co. plant in Buchanan, MI. The scan has picked up some of the texture from the fiber based paper negative. This leads to the illusion that there is actually glass present in the windows (there is no glass here.)

This is a paper negative experiment. I started with Kentmere fibre based bromide grade 2 paper and cut it to fit the 2. 1/4 3 1/4 Graflex Grafmatic film holders. I used a Wratten 81C filter (the paper is orthochromatic and even yellow Wratten 8 severely limits exposure.) The exposures were made in the Horseman VH-R with the 120 mm lens. I metered at ISO 16 with the Sekonic L-758DR

I fully developed the paper in Ethol LPD (2 min) and proccessed as if it were a print.

I scanned the linear negative image with the Epson V750 using Silverfast and inverted with Colorneg. A minor curves adjustment lead to the image shown here. There is some spotting in the sky and I am working on figuring out its origin. Focus is a bit soft, and I think this is a scanner issue as the paper negative is sharper.

Paper Negative I

Paper Negative I

Inverted paper negative photo of the Pucker Street Dam on the Dowagiac River,

This is my first paper negative experiment. I started with Kentmere fibre based bromide grade 2 paper and cut it to fit the 2. 1/4 3 1/4 Graflex Grafmatic film holders. I used an 80A blue filter (the paper is orthochromatic and even yellow Wratten 8 severely limits exposure) The exposures were made in the Horseman VH-R with the 150mm lens. Not knowing the ISO rating for the film, I metered with the Sekonic L-758DR at ISO 3 and bracketed in 1/2 stop increments for the 6 shots in the holder. The negative made at 2.5 stops faster shutter speed was the best.

I fully developed the paper in Ethol LPD (2 min) and proccessed as if it were a print.

I scanned the linear negative image with the Epson V750 using Silverfast and inverted with Colorneg. A minor curves adjustment lead to the image shown here. OPTEKA FISHEYE .35 REVIEW

OPTEKA FISHEYE .35 REVIEW

Why do I write this…
Wanted to buy this lens for some time now. But living outside of the U.S eliminates any possibility of returning camera goodies due to warranties or poor performance. I actually searched through the web looking for a decent review of opinion of this lens before buying it. I was really disappointed of what I found. Either way I bought the lens. An OPTEKA .35 and wanted to write this little review for anyone on the need of some info related to this product so you don’t go through a bad experience if this lens is not what you were looking for.
ACTUAL REVIEW STARTS HERE:
First and most important. This is not a fisheye lens it’s actually a SEMI-FISHEYE lens. Something you will feel scammed at first due that it is shown as a full fisheye in Amazon and any other web page trying to sell you this lens.
In your Mail Package:
Having cleared that out, when you open your UPS package you should find an adapter for 67-52 adapter that screws directly into your camera ( I used a NIKON D40 with a 18-135 lens) and a box just like the one pictured in your sellers webpage.
In your Case
Inside of it you will find a thick material carrying hard case with a soft red interior (it used to be a pouch but this is much more durable and protects your new lens way better) when you open it, you will see, wrapped in plastic, your lens covered by two plastic protective caps. These caps are almost useless due that they fall off too easily with time. I’m pretty sure that’s why the changed the worthless pouch they used to provide with a harder case.
2x1
I was a surprised by the fact that this lens actually comes with an attached MACRO lens screwed at the bottom of the Fisheye lens itself. (they have to be together in order to work properly as a fisheye but you can easily detached to have a nice macro lens for some good ultra close up shoots. (Sorry if all fisheyes have this feature but I just found out about it :D )
The Lens itself
It’s made of metal and glass and is surprisingly heavy. It’s multicoated and manufactured in Japan.
It comes with a 52mm thread, so it screws right onto your Nikon kit lens. But you in order to get the best fisheye effect you should use the shortest focal length possible. 18mm should do well. This lens has some lack of performance with softness found around the edges, but at the same time it compensates it with a good sharp central point of focus, This problem is much more visible when you use a small aperture. Sadly flare is also an issue. A last bad feature is that EXI data (Camera settings and scene information) is redundant due that this lens is an attachment to other lenses. At the very top it comes with a filter adapter that lets you screw them directly into the fisheye.
My 2 cents.
Come on! You are not reading this in order to get only the good news about this great lens (otherwise you would’ve gone to OPTEKA’s web page or the seller itself) I’m just telling you what you should expect about a lens costing around 25$ to 35$. Which by the way it does a superb job at being what I would call the “poor’s man fisheye lens” just like the 50mm 1.8 D is to all of us. It really gives great pictures, sorry if my pictures disappoint you but I’m an amateur trying to help. Look at the pictures taken with this lens by me. No modifications or enhancements were done. Hope it helps you as much as I wanted to help me decide before buying it.
